The origin is the only difference between Gaultheria procumbens (China) and Gaultheria fragrantissima (Nepal). Wintergreen essential oil calms, relaxes and relieves. Its scent is rich and intense. Its chemical constituents, its properties and precautions are similar to Gaultheria fragrantissima. The oil is obtained after distillation of the leaves of a ground-hugging shrub from the Ericaceae botanical family. Thanks to its multiple virtues, it has been used by Amerindians for centuries.
